The IEEE 13th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY 2015) was held on September 17-19, 2015 in Subotica, Serbia. Óbuda University, Subotica Tech, University of Novi Sad and the IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Computational Cybernetics were the main organisers of the Symposium.
The aim of SISY 2015 symposium was to offer researchers an opportunity to extend the existing scientific relationships all over the world in the field of Intelligent Systems.
The main Topics of the Symposium were the Computational Intelligence ( in the field of Machine Learning, Genetic Algorithms, Neural Nets, Fuzzy Systems, Fuzzy and Neuro-Fuzzy Control, Knowledge Based Systems, Expert Systems), the Intelligent Robotics (in the field of Control, Flexible Arm Control, Perception and Recognition, Reasoning, Learning, Robotic Systems, Human-Robotic Interaction, Service Robots, Surgery Robots, Machine Vision), the Intelligent Mechatronics (in the field of Sensing and Sensor Data Fusion, Motion Control, Intelligent Actuators), the Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (in the field of Flexible Manufacturing Systems, Production Planning and Scheduling, System Simulation, Rapid Prototyping, Concurrent Engineering, Virtual Reality) and the Informatics (in the field of The Web, Business & Digital Culture, Databases, Design & Graphics, Digital Audio, Video and Photography, Hardware, Home & Office, Networking & Sys Admin, Operating Systems, programming, Science & Math, Security Software Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, Teaching Informatics, Informatics in education process).
The PhD students of Doctoral School of Applied Informatics from Óbuda University also presented their papers in a special session.
Dr. Márta Takács, the Organizing Committee Chair, and the Honorary Chairs of the conference, Prof. Dr. János Fodor, rector of Óbuda University and Prof. Dr. Endre Pap from Singidunum University, Prof. Dr. Imre J. Rudas, the founder of the Symposium, Prof. Dr. Ljiljana Trajkovic, President of SMC Society, Éva Pataki, Organizing Committee Co-Chair and Ivana Štajner-Papuga, Technical Program Committee Chair welcomed the international authors at the opening ceremony of the IEEE 13th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY 2015) in the historical town hall of Subotica.
Imre J. Rudas, the founder of the SISY Symposium series opened the Plenary Sessions with the „From exoskeleton to the Antal Bejczy Center for Intelligent Robotics” plenary presentation and invited the participants to visit the „In Memoriam Antal K. Bejczy” English tableau exhibition. The second plenary talk was given by Ivana Štajner-Papuga (University of Novi Sad) with the title of „Some Aspects of Non-Additive Measures”, after that Ljiljana Trajkovic (Simon Fraser University, Canada) presented the „Communication Network Topologies, and Routing Anomalies” and William A. Gruver (Simon Fraser University, Canada) presented the „Algorithmic Trading Systems” titled lecture.
SISY 2015 Symposium took place under considerable interest, researchers from 9 countries had been registered – besides the organizer countries, Hungary and Serbia, from Slovakia, Spain, USA, Canada, Austria, Romania and Tunisia.
During the Symposium 60 papers were presented by the international scientists in 19 sections.
The conference appears on the IEEE Conference Search. Conference proceedings that meet IEEE quality review standards may be eligible for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
